I created some filters for ACF fields, displaying as checkboxes.
All going well until I edited my posts to change the wording on a couple of them. The old wording, which is now not used on any of my posts, is still showing up as an option on the filter, greyed out as it has zero posts associated with it.
How can I stop it displaying this ghost data?

    Thanks

    Hello @lolo23

Thank you for using Filter Everything plugin.

Yes, sure. You can hide empty terms if you set option Empty terms as Always hide. Please, see example – https://prnt.sc/g-Xcbadxswip

Also I recommend you to reset filters cache. Add to to your site URL ?reset_filters_cache=true and open it in browser. For example https://example.com/?reset_filters_cache=true

Let me know if it was helpful for you.

Hi @stepasyuk, thanks for your reply.

My issue was that I had unused terms appearing in the initial list, even though no posts use them anymore. So what feels like a glitch rather than a viewing preference.

Choosing ‘always hide’ did succeed in hiding them, but also hid active terms as the posts were filtered down.

I tried ‘hide in the initial filter only’ and that got rid of them, while still allowing the active terms to grey out as the posts are filtered down.

    Thanks!
