Delete User

    Hi, I need to delete a user on a site that I have just rebuilt, however It’s not letting me do so – I also need to assign any posts associated with that user to another admin user.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    if user has posted anything , you have to decide to delete those posts or assign postings to someone else, not necessarily an admin

    Thanks, but its not allowing me to so.

    When I set up the site I did so with my email address, I now need to change that to the clients address (they have been set up as an admin)

    Then you have to log in with your customer’s user and delete your user under Users. WordPress will then ask you what should happen to the posts assigned to your user.

    But I’m also not sure what you mean by the email address. Are you referring to the admin email under Settings > General? Then you have to enter the new email address there and access the link that will then be emailed to the new address to confirm this.     Ah, thank you – I managed to change the name of the account.
