• hi, I once migrated wordpress and restored database but links were pointing to the original location. web host fixed it. I did another migration but only homepage was showing. all other pages were giving a ‘page not found’ error. web host fixed it. I just would like to know what is causing this database issues and where and how to fix them. thanks.

Moving to a new domain doesn’t update the links. You have to edit the database to point to the new domain name.

As for the post not found, you probably needed to re-save your permalinks.

Although you change domain name in settings general when you change domain names your content still has old domain names and any internal links so you need to change all urls in database I have article on how to change urls in database.
