Cycling old posts.

ok i have a template but my main problem is getting the newest post to appear dead center ontop of two colums below where i’d like the older posts to automatically reorder themselves if a new one is posted. so to give you an idea of the look http://www.sit-and-spin.com … that’s the look but for every section i’d like one of the old posts to go in. so that the newest one is uptop big, and the smaller ones are below. like captions. anyone know of a direction to point me in?
