Customizing the widget – colored background etc.

    Hey there!
    I am have some trouble customizing The Events Calendar widget. I need it to „stick out” a little bit, perhaps give it a subtle background color, or something like that. But I don’t know what css files to edit. I’ve done some research but with no luck – the guide that I found for customizing the widgets if for version 2.X and not 3.X.
    Can someone perhaps steer me to the right direction?
