Customizing Lightboxes

    • Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to a WordPress Twenty series theme and deactivate all plugins except NextGEN Gallery? (please be sure to clear your browser cache and reload your site after deactivating)

    Since upgrading to the new NextGen Gallery 2.x, I have been unable to clearly understand how to set up/customize the plugin (and/or the NextGen Gallery Plus plugin).

    • I want the style of gallery shown on the page noted.
    • I want to use a lightbox effect when you click on the images.
    o I want to have arrows prompting me to click through the gallery
    o I want captions on the lightbox images
    o I want to be able to (and USED to be able to) customize the overlay settings

    On http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/lightbox-styles/ , you unhelpfully note:
    You have the option to choose from this list of effects:
    Lightbox
    Fancybox
    Highslide
    Shutter
    Shutter2
    Thickbox

    If you’re an actual USER, you would instantly realize how totally useless this information is, since I can see this list clearly from my installation.
    What would actually be helpful is for you to include:
    • what do those effects look like? (screenshots, please)
    • where would I go to customize each of them?
    • what customizations are available in each of them?

    On http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/pro-lightbox-help/ you show how to customize that option. I have done that, but the option to show that lightbox only shows on the general settings of the plugin as a whole. The gallery was installed on the page in question, and does not show that lightbox. Changes to the pro-lightbox don’t show up when I click on the images.
    What am I missing?

    @dosuntai – Thank you for such a detailed report but unfortunately you are asking for assistance primarily with NextGEN Plus which is not hosted on the WordPress Plugins repository and as such these forums are not to be used for its support.
