Customizing a “1&1” WordPress blog

    I’m trying to customize a “1&1” WordPress blog, but they’ve deactivated so many of the customization features that I can’t even upload a custom image for the header.

    Does anyone know a way around this? (Other than canning the 1&1 account)

    No. They use their own modified WP so if you do their install – you get what they provide.

    If you can upload wordpress yourself, and do the install yourself — that will provide you with a normal WordPress blog. Assuming you are able to do when hosted by them.
