I was testing the payment/ordering functionality of my website, when I realized that no emails were being sent out by woo commerce, after the payment went through and after order was completed etc. I did some digging and I realized the probable reason was actually the customers’ emails were actually failing to capture. I am currently using woo commerce default checkout, with the Astra theme. In the checkout page the first input field is the : “Customer Information : Username Or Email Address * ” section. Once this section is filled out with one of my emails (during test run), and the payment was processed and order was placed, i received no emails. I then checked the Woocommerce pluggin’s “orders” section, and found that these orders failed to save the email address, which is why i presume that the order confirmation emails were failing to send in the first place. All the other information that was entered during checked successfully captured. The billing/shipping address were all successfully captured, the phone number, and optional note was also successfully captured, all except the email. I have tried this process over and over again, and each time ending with the same result. No email is captured, so no automated emails were sent. I have surfed this forum, google, chatgpt, the settings of woocommerce, and customization sections of my theme to try to find a solution with no success. Any help is appreciated, thanks

    Hi @eternalpeptides

For better assistance, can you provide a video showing the issue on your end? For video, you may use https://loom.com or https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/. Please follow the instructions on that page and then paste the URL into this thread.

In the meantime, you can run a conflict test to help you identify the cause of the issue.

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

I hope that helps! Let me know once you have done a conflict test!

    Hello @eternalpeptides,

Glad to know that you were able to find the conflicting plugin.

Should you have further inquiries, kindly create a new topic here.

Meanwhile, if it isn’t too much to ask for – would you mind leaving us a review here? It only takes a couple of minutes but helps us tremendously. It would mean so much to us and would go a long way.

    Thanks!
