Custom post types in a widget

    Hi,

    Another thing I’m trying to set up with custom post types, is for them to show on the homepage, similar to the recent posts widget.

    What I want to do though, is choose which jobs appear on the homepage.
    I have a custom field which is: Featured Job: Yes? (tickbox)

    So would it be possible to get 5 posts that are post type=vacancy, featured=yes

    Ideally I would want to use it in a widget, but I could do it another way

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi,

    I have the same issue. I have defined a custom post type and it works fine to create and show posts of this type on a page but the posts does not show up in “Archive” or in the “recent posts” widget. Any help to this would be very appreciated.

    I’ve been fighting with custom post types for about a week now. Had I known beforehand how much coding (which I cannot) it takes…

    This plugin supposedly solves some of the initial problems. It requires PHP5.
