Custom Post Type and Shortcodes

Heya,

I’ve seen it somewhere but can’t for the life of me figure out where, nor do I know HOW to search answers. Here goes 🙂

A simple example: Within the function.php I want to write something to enable another menu-link in the admin panel. Let’s say Address. So I’d have something like:

Posts
Pages
Media
Address
etc

The address page then has some custom post type options, like: Name, Address, Zip Code, Land, Telephone number and so on.

If that page is made, I’d like to make a shortcode out of it, so the user only has to write [address] in order to display his information.

I don’t ask you to write that all for me (ofcourse you may :p) but rather point me out in the good direction. Cause I don’t know what keywords to look for in Google ^^

And I’m not looking for plugins. I’m on my learning path, so if this is done I’d like to make my own plugin. I wanna become WP Pro if that’s ever gonna happen! 😛
