Custom page template for Blog Posts

    I make custom templates without the default header, sidebar, footer,
    and they work for my custom pages.

    WP/Reading Settings let me pick a Posts page, so I make one with SAME template.
    My posts then appear with the usual default header, sidebar, footer.

    WHY?
