Custom icons and positioning
-
I have 2 small problems…
I’ve tried creating my own custom icon to go with the black theme option for the other icons. I’ve basically taken a screenshot of my Facebook icon while at full size (100), then opening in Photoshop, removing the Facebook F and then placing the logo I want over the black button. However when I save this and try using as a custom logo the quality of the logo differs to the other logos I’m using. It doesn’t look as sharp and the light shine in the corner of the button looks more dull. It’s not a big difference but it’s noticeable and spoils the ‘pro look’ of my site. I’ve tried saving as .jpg and .png files, both at 100 pixels (the maximum size for your plugin) and the maximum quality I can save them as, but the result is the same. Can you let me know the best way I can save my edited file to keep the quality so they match your icons.
My other problem is aligning them. I’m using Beaver Builder to create my site. I want the logos centred, but they always appear more to the left. I tried adding a blank column either side and then changing the spacing to force the logos into the centre and although this works, if I change my screen size they are no longer in the centre. Obviously this is a problem as not everyone has the same screen size so they won’t be centred for everyone.
All help greatly appreciated!

Could you please upload the custom icon and then share your blog url with us?
The blog is not live yet as it’s not yet finished. Here is a screen capture though of how the social media buttons look on my page…

As you can see the custom one I’ve made doesn’t look as clear and the white’s are duller. The difference isn’t huge but it just takes away that professional finished look to my page.
Here is the custom icon I created by itself…

As you can see the quality is perfect and matches the theme’s button’s perfectly, so something is happening when uploading the icon is changing the quality.
Hi guys, does anyone have a solution to this? I’m hoping to launch my site this evening so if I can’t find a way to fix it I’ll have to look for another way to link to my social media pages
We’re uploading a new plugin version tomorrow which should improve this point.
