Hello There,
I love the Twenty Ten Theme. It’s the best, user-friendly theme I have ever tried! I am currently making a new blog and I have a couple of small problems just for the front (home) page.
1. how can i remove the page title “home”? I went to the page.php file and tried deleting some codes but nothing seems to work. I tried changing the css to white but then my blog entry titles will be white. :/ so if someone can help me out on removing the ‘home’ title, that be so awesome!
2. is there a coding to just change the ‘home’ page’s width? I want to put a slideshow of pictures in the front page. The photos sizes are 940px wide.
3. I know the slideshow has javascript and I tried adding the javascript code in header.php but nothing seems to happen. Is there a slideshow plugin you recommend that is NOT flash? The example slideshow is on http://www.cakedla.com
As you can tell, I want to rebuild the entire website to integrate with wp and by using twenty ten. I’m just having trouble customizing the front page. 🙁 I’ve been researching for a couple days now and nothing…

I finally figured out #1. =) Deleted <h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1> in custom page template. =)
Going to work on #2 and #3 tonight…
that java slideshow looks great…. is it easy to implement in wordpress?
i’m fed up with the NextGen Flash slideshows, but love the backend to the plugin…
do you know of a plugin thats javascript only and is as easy to use/implement?
