I have a site that I set up to use a custom post type to create fundraising pages for my city which are user-submitted. Right now I would have to manually set up the Give form for each of their pages after I approve them. It would be great if Give could add some kind of functionality to allow me to set up my site so that they can set up their Give donation forms automatically, possibly by using custom fields.

That way, I can have a custom field that is for how much they need to raise, and Give can automatically create the form using that amount and I can set up the site so that it automatically attaches that form as a widget to their page.

Would that be possible in a future update?

  • While I’m not speaking for the developers (I have nothing to do with Give), they have a couple of pages on this exact topic in their documentation.

It sounds like you are talking about manual donation form submissions, with a bit of a twist. Right now this would take a bit of programming to get working as you mention. We plan on building out an Add-on for frontend submissions but it currently isn’t in development yet. Please check out what we do have in development here: https://givewp.com/coming-soon

@aszend Nope. That’s a great feature, but I am not talking about that. Thanks though.

@devin I think that’s what I mean. My site is set up kind of like Kickstarter and was hoping to use Give for that. When a user submits a project (like a Kickstarter campaign) I get a notification and so far have been able to automate everything so I just have to read it for review and click “post” and it is done. The only thing I haven’t been able to automate is the Give aspect of it since I would have to manually go in and create the campaign myself.

It’s not really hard to do, obviously, but it would be a cool thing for me to have and would save me a lot of time if the website takes off when I launch.

Is that pretty much just the “crowdfunding” feature I see you’re working on?

Can i get someone to add custom fields?

Hey @cyberspro – have you seen our tutorial on adding custom fields? https://givewp.com/documentation/developers/how-to-create-custom-form-fields/ We’re also working on a Form Field manager plugin to customize donation forms without code.

Hey Devin, Yes i have seen that but failed to make it work, I’m requesting if there is anyone to help since i need it urgent, if you can recommend a developer. Thanks
