Custom CSS disappeared!

    Very strange occurrence.

    I last worked on the design of my site a couple of days ago and things
    seemed the way they should be.

    Today when I logged in I found my site design completely changed. On further investigation I found the reason was because all custom CSS has been removed.

    In fact, under the Customize section for the theme, the Custom CSS option has been completely removed. What’s more strange is that a few changes I had hardcoded into the style.css template was also removed and I had to re-do them all by using a third party custom CSS plugin.

    I am looking to purchase MH magazine premium after all design changes are done but these sort of sudden surprises can be disastrous.

    thanks for using MH Magazine lite.

    It seems you have updated your theme, that’s why the option for custom CSS is missing. We’ve released an update with some code maintenance and we also needed to remove the custom CSS option to meet the WordPress.org guidelines. It turned out that this option wasn’t allowed for themes on WordPress.org as this is plugin territory and there is also not really a proper way to handle that data within a theme.

    In case you need an option to add custom CSS code, you could use a plugin like for example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

    If you need the CSS code which you had previously entered in the input field of the custom CSS option, you could install the previous version of the theme, grab the data and then update the theme again.

    Please also notice that you should not hardcode any customizations, as these changes always will be lost after theme updates. In case you want to modify your theme, it is recommended to use a child theme instead: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    I already went through the plugin route and reinstated the custom css.

    I will contact you again regarding purchase of premium theme in a few weeks.
