Hi, newer thought about that scenario, it´s a really good input.
That´s something i need to rebuild or be more clear about. I guess it will probably be a surprise to the user that he or she loses connection to some categories.

Hi Dan, was wondering if anything ever happened along these lines?
When the user comes back to their profile, e.g. a month after initially subscribing to some categories, all of the category checkboxes are empty (i.e they don’t reflect what categories were previously subscribed to). We’ve had a ton of messages about this 🙂
This was the situation with STC when I deployed it 18 months ago. I have a new site coming up and was hoped this behaviour has bee changed?
Just FYI to anyone interested in this, I’ve just finished some testing with the latest version of Subscribe to Category (v1.9) and the shortcode [stc_subscribe] STILL does not show what categories you are already subscribed to. e.g. you visit the [stc_subscribe] page and subscribe to Category A, but the next time you visit the [stc_subscribe] page Category A is unchecked.
This is far and away the number 1 complaint from our users.
