currency error
-
Hi
this plugin is good as it seems , but there is a problem when I set the currency to JPY it forces to give points on 1yen unit. but Japanese yen unit is 100yen. its impossible to use with Japanese yen because impossible to give one point for each 1yen spent (1yen=less 1 cent) that will be 100% point. it should be fixed as following:
if use Japanese yen the unit price spent 100yen or
make it possible to set the amount spent editable so can admin just write 100 instead of 1.

Hey @momocamel,
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback.
I’ve gone ahead and reported this to our development team so they can review how currency handling works for JPY and similar zero-decimal currencies.
Once an update addressing this is released, I’ll be sure to circle back and share an update with you. In the meantime, if you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out.
Kindly,
Thank you for your support.
Hey @momocamel,
I wanted to share some progress with you. We’re going to update the “Make a purchase” action to something like the following, allowing you to define an earning rate with control over both the points and spent amount.
In this example it shows that members can earn 50 points for every ¥500 spent: https://share.cleanshot.com/54YnM2C4
Let me know if you have any feedback, thanks!
Hi
looks good. I think this solve the problem, and make it easier to use with JPY. Im not sure if there is other currency has same issue as well but I think this gives solution for all if exist too. Thank you for following up.
Hey @momocamel,
I’ve just released v1.0.3 which has this included. Let me know if you have any other suggestions, great feedback.
the point setting is fine now. but still in customer profile is showing 1900.00yen instead of 1900yen. Besides, I cant find the user point page (nor in my account page or in pages) or Short code to create page of it. is it not exist or I just cant notice it?
Hey @momocamel
Thanks, we’ll work on a patch to fix the display issue.
RewardsWP doesn’t have a dedicated points page but it’s on our roadmap. For now, everything is shown through the customer-facing rewards widget. You can for example Add a “Rewards” navigation item to your site’s menu, or even inside the WooCommerce My Account page and link directly to the widget in an open state.
If the customer is logged in, they will see their points prominently displayed inside the widget like this: https://share.cleanshot.com/z9LY1Xm0
If you would like to do this, simply link to your site’s URL with the following appended: #rewardswp-home
Example: https://yoursite.com#rewardswp-home
Logged out members will see the welcome screen where they can sign in: https://share.cleanshot.com/7PNdBJ40
You can also use a query string to link to it from emails etc: Example: https://yoursite.com?rewardswp=home
If you’d like to add a new menu to the WooCommerce my account page to open the panel let me know and I can share a quick code snippet. We’ll likely be building something into the WooCommerce My Account page soon to display points and other information to the customer, without needing to open the rewards widget.
I think customers will be more attracted to see their point in their “my account” page or can display it within the pages or product as it will encourage them to buy more when they see it.
Of course the widget is good idea and personally love it, but customer will not be aware that the points is just appearing there (not all customers are thinking same specially that main platforms like Amazon shows points in several places and some customers will expect all online shops similar. have to fit all mentalities to work right! ) .
you may also do the widget open on login (as option in admin area can be activated) so customer notice it each time they login. by this way the customer will understand the point system displayed within the widget even tho not in their “my account” page like others , and remind them of their points and referral on each login .
suggestion: if refer sign up and the customer gets reward or get points . maybe will be nice to make small popup comes on login, over the widget “Congratulation you got *** reward. click to check the details and use them”. if you want more suggestions i can write alot if you will to do it huge plugin as well.
If you can pass me some short code I would appreciate that , i would create a tab in my account page using them.
I’m testing it still and it works perfectly so far, definitely, I will write review after the yen error fixed . Thank you, I appreciate your follow up.
Thanks for the feedback @momocamel. We have released a new version to fix the currency issue you are seeing. Please let me know if that fixes it or not – I found a few more places where it may have affected you.
I 100% agree with your feedback. Customers need a better way to discover their points and one of the most natural ways is within the WooCommerce My Account area.
Thanks for your other suggestions, we’re also considering a notification/popup for the advocate after a successful referral so they know they received something (in case they missed the email) the next time they come back to the site. I would love to hear any other suggestions you have so feel free to open a new topic or paste them here 🙂
As mentioned in my last reply, here’s a code snippet that will add a “My Rewards” tab to the WooCommerce My Account page. When clicked, it will open up the rewards widget which is already loaded on the page. I understand you want a dedicated page within the My Account section but this should hopefully help with discoverability until then.

You can also replace #rewardswp-home in the snippet above with:
#rewardswp-rewards – Opens the customer’s rewards sub-panel if they have any.#rewardswp-earn – Opens the customer’s “ways to earn” sub-panel.
#rewardswp-redeem – Opens the customer’s “ways to redeem” sub-panel.
Hope that helps!
Thank you so much.
suggestions:
- a message in previously bought product ” you have bought this product previously, tell others about your experience, review now and get ***reward to use in your next purchase.
- Product sharing refer link instead of a general one . each product page will have refer link to share to friend and can set both rewards. “your friend “account profile name” thinks you would be interested in “product name”, visit us to check and buy and get ***reward . and referral gets 2 rewards. referral and product sale reward. (can set in admin product page to show or hide)
- add a link after submitting review: Thank you for writing review, share the product with friend and get *** reward.
- review bundle example: “when customer write 10 reviews gets bonus ***reward. “Congratulations, you have finished writing 10 products reviews, thank you. you have got ***reward. please use in your next purchase. “
- conditional reward with date: Category, product, date, customer role, etc. example: Buy any product of our new arrivals category and get 2 points for every 100 you spend from 1/2/2026 till 4/2/2024. by product: buy this product and get 5point/100. by role: VIP customer role get 10point/100 for new arrival and 8/100 of all categories.
- shipping free on new sign up to use on next order (in other plugins is the first order but supposed to be next time to keep customer or choice for admin or customer)
- set reviews reward by stars . example: get 50point for 5stars, 40p/4s, 30p/3s,20p/2s, 10p/1s. write review and get up to 50points ( encourage customers to higher stars when they figure out that the get less on less review stars and that makes products get more better reviews and lead more sales.
- points on logins . if customer login 5 times a month get ***reward.
- points on birthday ” an email send to customer giving cognate customer of ther birthday and giving reward present and of course remind customers of the online shop if they havent purchased lately”
- points on national holidays like new year, Halloween, valentine or any which customer can set depends on the shop location. (same as above reminds customers of online shop and encourage them to back again)
- points ranking on history subtotal till day. customer who purchased 1-100$ gets 1point for 1$. 101-200$ gets 2points and so on. buy more get more points with time automatically.
- adjust points earning by customer on the members information view differently than other general settings.
- set different referral reward on customers information view directly if no feature to set refer by customer role (can make it easy to give influencers and fans or marketing person to get more rewards than public rules).
Im not sure how much youre welling to upgrade your plugin but i see your coding n design is stable and cool. and I think you can do great job and your support awesome too, I appreciate your time following my issues. I wish you all the best in your project.
Thanks for all your suggestions @momocamel, will take a look. Birthday Rewards is high on our list.
