Credit card authorization

    Hey,

    is there any way to create only a credit card authorization on Stripe? There is no need to charge it, we would need the authorization only as a deposit for a holiday home.

    Hi @felix997

    I hope you are doing well.

    I am afraid it isn’t possible, the plugin will charge the user using the Stripe API by default.

    We can create a feature request for this, to make sure we are on the same page are you referring to this feature: https://stripe.com/docs/charges/placing-a-hold

    Use the Charges API to authorize a payment now, capture funds later.

    That’s what I mean 🙂

    Would be super if Forminator is able to do so. I think it is only a short Code for the team, but would be very helpful 🙂
