Got a question on WordPress / Woocommerce. I am wanting to know what the best way would be to create my web pages. Once someone clicks on the Shop link from the menu I want the customer taken to the “main store” page. Once there I want only categories shown with images for each category. After a customer selects a category that will then take the customer to a new page with sub categories and so forth.

    Example:
    Customer clicks Shop-
Page opens and customer clicks Ammunition (Category)
Page Opens and customer clicks Handgun Ammo (Sub Category)
Page Opens and customer selects 9mm and then all the 9mm ammo is shown.

I am trying to make my site user friendly as possible without having the customer who wants 9mm ammo but has to scroll through every other caliber or gauge to find it.

I am not sure what the best way would be for doing this. I thought of creating several pages but I don’t want my navigation menu for shop to be a mile long. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.

    Thanks

    Mark

  • If you don’t already have a page called Shop, create one.
Then under Products > Categories, create one called Ammunition.
Also under Products > Categories, create one called Handgun Ammo and choose Ammunition as the parent category.

Then in WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display, under “Shop page display” and “Default category display” choose “Show categories” and “Show subcategories” respectively.
