• I have recently upgraded to 3.5.2. In my earlier version I was able to add a new static page (comments thread disabled) by simply un-checking 2 boxes underneath the text area.

Now there seems to be no way of creating a new static page, without a comments and discussion area at the bottom.

Newbie, please give a simple step-by-step account. Much appreciated …

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

    esmi thanks!

i have a multi-site with a custom theme on the main site. i switched themes on a minor site to the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated. I created a new page and still could not see the boxes at the bottom to untick for no discussion.

i believe there is a procedure for creating a static home page. Could one use that procedure to create more than one static page (no discussion)? If so, how please?
