    Hi,

I’d like to create a page in my site, but this one mustn’t follow the template, I want to it be empty, blank, naked. 🙂 without header or posts, nothing.
If be easier, explain-me how to create a page with just the header, without posts, news, anything else, just the header.

I tried to create on the menu->pages->new page, but this way, the page stays with the header, posts, etc.

    I’ll be grateful.

I already tried this tutorial. I created a file in my Theme directory, but when I try to create a new page, don’t appears the option to choice the theme.

    Am I missing something?

Then there is something wrong with your page template file. Review the tutorial again.

Ok, I saw the theme isn’t active.
I have to activate it to appear the choice of create a page with that theme right?
But if I activate this theme, my actual one will not be disabled will?
I can work with two themes simultaneously?

    Yes.

    Yes

I can work with two themes simultaneously?

Not without a theme test drive plugin.

Can’t I create a unique page not following my theme?
I just want a blank page, or only with the header, and it’s just one page. How do I do this without deactivate my theme?

Can’t I create a unique page not following my theme?

Yes – by creating a custom page template.

A custom page template and a theme aren’t the same thing?

Nope. A theme can contain multiple custom page templates. And each custom template can generate a page that looks nothing like the rest of the theme’s pages.

Hmm… Ok! I’ll try to create a custom page template and let you know if arise any doubt. Thanks a lot!

No problem. Just to show that this does work, have a look at triplel.co.uk (WARNING: not safe for work). The front page of that site uses a custom template and looks nothing like the rest of the site. But the page just uses a custom template – from the same theme as all of the other pages.
