Create a front page

Hi there,

I am starting to loose hope 🙂
For a few days I have tried to tweak the blog layout into a website. I am getting there but keep on getting in to the problem in creating a unique front page.

I dont want to ‘re-use’ an other page as a static page for my frontpage. Should I create a template for this unique front page and if so where and how can I edit the code to call for this template when clicking home?

I don’t even know if this is the way to do it. I am new at this.
