@pcliff069 What error you get with elementor pro? Can you send me details about the issue, so that I can fix it? You can contact me directly support [at] wp-staging.com
Hi and thanks for the reply.
What was happening was that I cloned my site.
Logged into it no issues. Did a bit of work/play/experimenting.
The next day I logged in and Elementor Pro reported a license mismatch.
Every effort to re-activate license failed, so I deleted the clone and cloned again,
and history repeated itself.
Elementor help gave these options
Ignore – clearly not possible
Clear cache – done but no change
Use another browser – no intention of installing another browser.
I’ve also emailed this to you.

Hello Paul,
I’ve already wrote you an email but I want to answer it here as well so that it may help other users with similar licensing issues with Elementor Pro and WP Staging:
Unfortunately there is nothing I could do to fix the issue from WP Stagings side of view. Obviously Elementor Pro treats your staging site as a separate site so your license key for the live site is not valid there.
To prevent that you have several options:
– Purchase another Elementor Pro license key for an extra site (Bad option)
– Get in contact with Elementor Pro support and ask them to give you a second license for free for your staging site.
– Ask elementor support if they could improve their licensing system to allow elementor pro running on staging sites created with WP Staging. That is very easy and they just need to check if get_option('wpstg_is_staging_site') === true;
I do option 2 all the time for MashShare, WP Staging, WP QUADS and all my other plugins when people have similar licensing issues with their staging sites.
Btw. This issue will happen with staging sites created by other Migration plugins as well and is not limited to WP Staging ones only.
So if the elementor support is good and accommodating they will assist you with that.
I would be delighted if you like to give an extra star for your review above because the issue is caused by elementor and not WP Staging.
