Cookie Bar Message not updating

We have been using this plugin for a while with no issues up to this point. We are now trying to update the Message text – we edit the text and hit “Update Settings”. A green message pops up and says “Settings Updated” but the text is not changed on the site. Any insights into this issue? Thanks in advance for any help.
