content based on user role

    Is there a way to make content available based on user role? I would also need to be able to make more than one kind of subscriber.

    Imagine a college website. I want to make information available to the students and different information available to the faculty/staff. In both cases, this would not be public content and would require the user to be logged in.

    I know I can make pages and posts require a password, but I want to only be available to the correct user grouping.

    Here is a plugin that will let you make unique roles and even control permissions, if necessary:

    I used to see an option at the bottom of the Page Editor to restrict a given page to only being viewable by any selected role, but right now I cannot find that anywhere. I hope it has not been removed, and maybe someone else here will fill us in there.
