Connection timeout after changing hosts
-
I have an issue with the GCal Plugin after moving to annother host.
On the development site, it all works fine.
You can find it here: http://dieerste-kompanie.kochsiek.org/blog/On the live site, i get an error when loading the widget “connect() timed out! Please ensure your calendar ID is correct.”
You can find it here: http://www.dieerste-kompanie.de/blog/The calendar ID is correct. The two sites are exact copies.
– Check that you’ve updated to the most current version of the plugin.
Wordpress 4.22
Google Calendar Events 2.2.5– Review your individual GCal feed settings (and widget settings if used).
Nothing seems to be wrong here.– Make sure your calendar ID is in the correct format.
It is.– Make sure your calendar is set to public.
It is.– Manually clear feed feed caches using links found in the settings.
Already did this.– Test for theme and plugin conflicts.
No conflicts to be found.– Review our documentation including the general questions.
Checked that.Does your issue still exist? Feel free to submit a post in these forums, but please include the following:
– Details, details. The more the better.
Here we go.– Share your calendar ID and the public link for it.

http://www.dieerste-kompanie.de/gce_feed/kalendar/– Is your issue happening using a shortcode, widget or both?
Widget.– Did your issue happen upon a fresh install of the plugin or an upgrade from a previous version (and which one)?
Fresh install.– Take a screenshot of your feed and/or widget settings and link to it using a screen sharing service like Dropbox, Cloudup, or Jing/Screencast.
http://dieerste-kompanie.kochsiek.org/gcal_settings.jpg– Paste in the shortcode and event builder content you’re using.
I got nothing.– It’s extremely helpful if you can put up a test page (or multiple pages) and link the issue you’re having so we can take a look.
Working here: http://dieerste-kompanie.kochsiek.org/blog/
Not working here: http://www.dieerste-kompanie.de/blog/– Let us know if you’ve already tested for theme and plugin conflicts.
As it’s working on the development site, i don’t think there are any conflicts.– Please don’t respond to a resolved topic. We’ll miss it. Start a new post or respond in an existing unresolved topic.
