Well yes, thank you for asking.
Actually, I realized that I had made a mistake in the title of my topic (w”m”p)and I thought that might be one reason why nobody was answering.
Another reason might be that the problem was so trivial that I should solve it by myself.
But I’ve been unable to do so, and the trouble is still there.
alright, well I’m new too – but have installed WP a number of times.
So, just quickly some simple questions:
Did you follow along with the installation guides? – i know this can be trival to ask, but want to be thorough.
is there anything special about your installation? i.e. not installing at the root – installing on personal pc or mac – etc.
have you tried re-installing? – sometimes this might be needed, but lets hope not. especially if you have data in the system already.
I’ve installed WP following the procedure of my Web host, that is ovh.com.
Nothing special as far as I know.
The strange thing is that connecting as admin worked fine until two days ago.
I’ve asked my Web host support about it. They say everything is OK for them with my blog and that I should turn to WordPress forums.
hmm, ok – well that doesn’t get us very much. Obvisously something went wrong, as it was working and is no longer.
can you get the error log? you’ll need to check to see what errors occur when you try to login and change/recover the password.
I just tried again to log in as wp-admin, in order to get the error log, and… it went through!
It looks like switching to “personalizing” (not sure that is correct English) the theme brings back the connection form and the ensuing oddities, but the situation is obviously improving.

that’s awesome that you got back! keep me updated if something happens again with this. also you probably want to do a backup just to be on the safe side.
