Confusion with DomTab

I’m under complete confusion with trying to add DomTab to my template. I’m trying to implement it that you can visit the different categories without having to reload your page.

I’ve gone here and downloaded the files

I’ve then tried following this tutorial

The only problem is that it is not descriptive enough for someone like me who does no know javascript or PHP. I know Html and CSS so I managed to put the script tag that links to the domtab files. I’ve just got little to no clue on how to implement this into my template.
