Hi Steve, under Advanced tab do you have the following enabled Enable confirmation email message?
Yes, and I have tried different isp emial addresses fro the from and to fields.
Steve
What e-mail address have you added in the following fields.
Confirmation email “From” address:
Confirmation email “Reply To” address:
Please don’t add your e-mail address, I just need to know if both are coming from your domain name?
Ok,
I just saw something weird.
I have both to and from addresses set to the same bigpond email address (my main email). I have my user email address in my wp profile set to my bigpond address. When I fill out the contact form on the website and send, I use my live.com.au adress.
Now, when I receive the email, it comes from my domain, castleimages.net.au. If I hit reply, or reply all, it sends it back to my live.com.au address, not the to or from address I specify in the contact form settings. Surely that is incorrect?
Now to answer your question, I have tried it both ways, with both coming from my domain name and both coming from different domains.
Either way, no confirmation email goes through, but the emial to me advising I have received a contact from the website is recieved correctly.
Another question, does FS CF use php or smtp mail?
PS, I am using Hostgator, not sure if my site was setup as Linux or not.
Hi, try the following documentation.
Do you know if you have set up any forwarding e-mails in your server?
I do for one email address I am testing, but not for others.
BTW, do you know Matt Brading?
BTW again, Hostgator advises I should be using SMTP mail, but I can’t find where to set that in FS CF.
Read the following documentation.
Thank you
Which tab is the setting in, I can find no reference to “Send E-mail function:”
Let me know if your issue is resolved.
In that image, those settings are referring to the PHP version not the WordPress version.
I assume then that I have and need to use the WordPress version on my WordPress site?
Do I have to use Gmail in that case?
