Configuring WooCommerce

    I am wondering if I can configure woocommerce by creating a configuration file (or files) then load them in one-short? By doing it this way, I can have all my configurations in one place, and apply them together.

    Hi there,

    There isn’t any sort of master config file functionality in WooCommerce currently. It rather is a bunch of options set in the WordPress database. There’s not an easy way to move those without a lot of careful manual work.

    Please do add or vote on an idea like this on our ideas board, it’d be great for this to exist. 🙂

    Thanks for the information. I’ll review the list.

    I am wondering if this (lack of woo configuration file) has anything to do with the fact any functional woocommerce site is very much dependent on a list of plugins which means a functional site will not dependent on woo’s configuration but also configurations of other plugins.

    Hi there,

    That’s would certainly be one of the things we’d have to solve for if there were this sort of functionality in WooCommerce. 🙂

    You can see some discussion on an issue that was created for this on GitHub. It seems to have gone nowhere and was closed for now.
