Conditional Logic Directory

Hello all,
I am just starting to build a membership only site for a retirement community. The client has requested that there be a checkbox on the profile page that allows the members to choose what fields are visible on the Member Directory page. I.E. I have an Address field and would like to add a Yes / No checkbox to display or not display that field on the Member Directory page.
If this option is already present please let me know where.
Or if there is a way that I can manually populate each field using a php template I can build my own if statements.

Please advise.
