    Hi, it looks like SiteOrigin’s own scripts override the default behavior attached to a link (such as opening a lightbox) and opens the image directly.

    I’ll look into what can be done to support the slider widget from SLB’s side, but you may want to contact SiteOrigin’s developer to inquire about whether the overriding can be disabled to allow links to function normally.

    After testing several options, overriding other scripts (such as SiteOrigin’s slider script) attached to a link’s click event is not practical as it may break desired functionality added by other scripts.

    I am not sure why SiteOrigin’s slider would force links to open in such a way, so you may want to contact that plugin’s developer to request that they add the option to disable this behavior.
