PaperHedge,
Make sure you have disabled cache plugin.
None of the things you said helped. What do you suggest?
PaperHedge,
I just tried on clean WordPress setup with Fruitful theme, WordPress SEO by Yoast working like a charm without any problems.
Try to clean your browser cache, disable cache plugins, disable all other plugins.
Surely it should work with a cache plugin? I sent you a list of all the plugins I have.
If you have enabled cache plugins, you don’t see any modification which you do.
For us, on all our WordPress setups, theme working correctly with YOAST plugin. Try to find problems in your website yourself or switch to other theme.
Thanks.
Hi, I’d like to weigh in to this SEO feed please. I’ve had to work on this template because I did the SEO for a client and there are problems I simply can’t find solutions for. I’d like to know what you think?
I originally SEOed the template in ‘All In One SEO Pack’ and saw really poor results from the template while others WP templates with same were very successful. Especially poor, was the index page, it simply wasn’t anywhere in search. One of the forum entries said that the template was incompatible with everything but Yoast and so I applied Yoast to the template and the result is no better. The really worrying thing, is the lack of the index page in any search results whether in All in One or Yoast. Google recognises the template’s index in a direct search, in Google Plus, and Webmaster indicates no critical errors, but the index page behaves as though there is a no follow on it and less important pages in the site with same SEO are performing. To me, this is very odd and indicates a problem with the index page. The index page does have a great deal of inline code caused by customising CSS, as the CSS is withheld from the editor mostly through scripts. Its the only difference between the index and other pages, but I can’t remove it without spending hours editing js for even the most simple of requirements. What do you suggest might be wrong?
Hi Skipitydo (love it)…
Same issue here… Work-around I am trying now is duplicating the theme’s home page on a new page using the featured image as the main image as on the home page and adding columns using the shortcodes provided… The look is similar.
I’m not sure that this will fix it but should have much less code and should perform better…
What did you manage to do to sort the issue?
