• Pretty sure that this hasn’t been asked before – My blog’s (http://www.susdev.info) CSS is doing something wierd with the comments pages, and I wondered if anyone would be able to shed some light on this.

Essentially, they are no margins on the left for the posts and the ‘leave a reply’ boxes.

    What classes are these?

  • Not sure if this is the problem, but I’ve suffered margin and formatting issues when have posted content (via copy/paste) without first changing the text to ASCII format to remove errant characters and embedded code (specifically from Microsuck Word, which has a mind of its own, but don’t get me started!).

So, in the example of your entry “The Tipping Point”, is there chance the content was copy/pasted without running that through a web-specific text editor? I use the free TextWrangler (Mac) and select “Convert to ASCII” in the Text pull-down. That rids the text of anything that might cause conflicting characters and rogue punctuation marks that seem to muddy up the usually-friendly relationship between posts and the structure they reside in…

    Best of luck,

Ah, genius – should have probably thought looking at the source code.

Wood for the trees and all that 🙂

    Cheers Stevo and Moshu!
