Thank you for your comments. However, I do not understand your spamming statement. In order for anyone to comment on the site, they would likely need to visit it. To visit the site, the URL probably would be handy. (If I was unaware of any mind-reading plugin which made URLs unnecessary in such cases, I humbly apologize.)

In addition to the content, it really has that news-site “feel”. Looks good.
With the category excerpts, you might want to add some padding to the left/right margins (away from the single-line border) for improved readability. Also, the “join” link in the header doesn’t work; but, it does under “About Us”.
@luke: I appreciate the comments – particularly the “join” item, since it will be featured in an advertising. 😉
