There’s similar setting farther down that will allow you to only have to moderate comments for people who don’t have any pre-approved comments. In other words, if you’ve approved a comment for someone in the past, the next time they comment it goes straight through.

If I check both “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” and “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” then non-registered users can’t leave comments!
Then don’t check ‘Users must be registered and logged in to comment” !
Ditto with do77, if you don’t want to mess with that, don’t check it and use the pre-approved comments setting.

By that, thay can use a fake email address!
What about that?!
I’m assuming that you mean they could copy the email address of an approved commenter, which would be fairly unlikely because their email addresses are not publicly displayed. They might find it on the users page but then they would already be registered, which was what you wanted in the first place. As long as you don’t enable comments like
Cool, great blog!! I’m only posting to get a link LOL!!!!
you’ll be fine.
If they use a random email address, that would make no difference because you could still trash the comment. To make sure you’re safe, use the Akismet plugin and you will be fine.

In the “Discussion Settings” there are:
-An administrator must always approve the comment
-Users must be registered and logged in to comment
But, I need a combination of both of them! I don’t need to approve comments written by registered users and I just want to approve other comments. How can I do that?(Let everyone to leave comments, approve and display comments by registered users immediately, and hold comments by others in queue)
Thanks
