Hello!
Try changing the following under Dashboard > Settings > Collapse-O-Matic:
1. Change Animation Effect to Slide Only
2. Change
Collapse/Expand Duration
to a very, very fast number like: 50 (that’s 50 milliseconds).
Hit us back if you don’t see any change and we’ll dive in a little deeper.
Update: OH WAIT! since you are using the roll-your-own elements this will have no effect. Hold tight, we’ll push out an update that allows you to add this manually.

Yeah i tried that and it did nothing… Haha
I’ll wait for that update 🙂
On another note, is there anyway to specify the slide direction?
From clicking the images left to right my expand comes up from the bottom. (below)
From clicking the images right to left my expand comes down from the top.
Is there anyway i can make them come the same direction always?
My client is extremely particular and has pointed this out to me.

OK, good news.
first, you will want to update to version 1.7.3b direct from GitHub
this version includes the following fixes:
1. if you use a number as the global duration (like 50 in the example above) it will be converted to an Integer, and will actually work. This was a bug, thank you for reporting it!
2. there are two new attributes added to this version: animation_effect and duration. This will allow you to set the animation_effect and duration per collapse element, if desired. We have set up examples of how to use them in both shortcodes and using the roll-your-own method. Note these were available in collapse-pro-matic, but we decided to add them to the free version as well.
