Hello, I’m drowning in resource draining bot attacks so I decided to try your plugin today.
I’m trying out your plugin and it has today alone found apparently 7000 spamfirewall attacks. The vast majority from Singapore, the rest from Amazon (which is apparently ignoring my robots.txt). What is confusing me is when I checked the IP link of each one that was marked “passed” each one said “reported for spam” and “Black-listed” but they were allowed through? Why?

Also the sort by passed isn’t working for me so I had to manually scroll through 7000 results looking for the passed ones. I’m impressed with the number it’s managed to identify.

Oh, and my own host/server came up in the log. I added it to my allow list but thought that was very strange. It is a shared server.

    Thanks!

    Hello @savingpatterns,

What is confusing me is when I checked the IP link of each one that was marked “passed” each one said “reported for spam” and “Black-listed” but they were allowed through? Why?

I have reviewed several records in your SFW logs. If an IP was blocked by the Anti-Crawler and there is also an allowed request, this means that on their first visit to the site, our Anti-Crawler check was triggered — and that is the allowed request. If the check was failed, subsequent visits result in a block. In addition, the blacklisted status on IP addresses is in the anti-spam service, and not in the SpamFireWall, while the Anti-Crawler is part of the SpamFireWall. You are right, we will try to fix this. I have forwarded your details to our development team.
We will get back to you with an update within 1-3 business days once we have any results.

    Please wait.
