Child Theme Configurator version 2.0.3 gives next errors when creating child theme:

Notice: Only variables should be passed by reference in hueman/option-tree/ot-loader.php on line 98
Notice: Only variables should be passed by reference in hueman/option-tree/ot-loader.php on line 326

Why the plugin is outputing unexpected PHP debug output? Why it might demand those variables to be passed as reference?

It is the problem in compatibility. You should contact the makers of child theme configuration or try something similar.

dbbrown, I have a similar issue as described by TOM75 on the website: http://www.skmbrussels.be. I created the Child theme myself following the instructions on the website you mention above. Everything has worked just fine until today. This issue is very annoying since it is displayed on the website itself (i.e. it does not only limit functionality of certain parts of the website).

I would urgently need some help on how to fix this. Thank in advance!

I use the child theme called Being Human. It works well for CSS but am unable to set the functions.php in its folder. Maybe you can try it.

Hi @politicske

Sorry for interrupting this thread.

The following theme that you had mention, has not been updated for more than a year.
https://wordpress.org/themes/being-hueman/

It also contains outdated templates and will not work properly with current Hueman Theme.

As suggested by @bdbrown.
Create a child theme by following steps recommended in this article.

@denzel – good call. I had never looked at that theme. Wasn’t aware it included modified theme template files. Not something I would recommend using either.
