Yes. At the bottom of the documentation in the first link I gave you under “Resources”, there is a link to plugins located in the Plugin Directory designed to help with child theme creation.

I do recommend reading through the documentation first though.

Will a plugin allow me to add code to the theme I’m using?

Yes, there are plugins that help you with child theme creation: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/child+theme/

As well as plugins that add pagenavi to your site: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/pagenavi/

They’re all free, so try them out to find the one that’s right for you.
