Changing the Default Template

    I like the default template WordPress starts with. I am running WordPress on my Yahoo Hosted site on my own server.

    How can I change the background of the columns to black with white text and pink links? Also I would like that white-ish border around the main body to be black as well.

    How can I make the overall width of the main body wider? Basically making both the left column and right column wider.

    I also want to replace the header with a picture of the same size, I think I can figure that part out though.

    On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest, my CSS/HTML skills are about a 4 to 5 or so, heh.
