Changing font for menu using CSS

I love the theme and the readability of everything.

I’m hoping to change the font for the topbar menu. I love the default fonts everywhere else, but find the menus are a bit hard to read and would like a font that is slightly thicker. I’d like to do it through css since I haven’t set up a child theme (and don’t know how to do that).
