I am currently using 404 redirected plugin. I need to change it as there is a conflict with the Thrive Content Editor I have started using.

I am looking to change it to this SEO redirection plugin. What do I need to do with the existing captured 404 URL’s and redirects in the existing plugin before uploading the new plugin?

Do I need to uninstall the existing 404 redirect plugin, before uploading and activating the new plugin?

I’m a bit lost how to change over without making a mess.

  • Yes, of course, uninstall the existing 404 redirected plugin and install SEO redirection.

    Thanks for your reply Fakhri

I’m still a bit unsure – do I need to somehow record all the existing re-directs from the current plugin, before I uninstall it, and then set them up again in the new SEO redirection plugin once installed?

Or is there an easy / auto way to do this?

Is anyone able to help out with this query please?

If the current plugin is “All 404 Redirect to Homepage” and you want to move to SEO Redirection, only you have to delete “All 404 Redirect to Homepage” and install SEO Redirection, the redirects will work well.
