Not having much to go on, I’d say your slider has an option to show excerpts. There are ways to remove read more from excerpts, but make sure your slder doesn’t have a built in option for that first.
Destro, It just shows either a featured image to insert or otherwise it justs shows the title of the post and “read more”. I’ll post a screenshot. Just a sec.

So, it will show a featured image, but no video. I would like it to just show the entire image if possible.
Also, How do I get the Posted by off?

As deepbevel says, we need to understand the plugin that delivers the slider that is giving you the problem and also which theme you are using.
if going outside the plugin’s built in features, you’d do well to use a dev tool like mozilla firebug to find the css code you need to change.
It is the destro theme. I’ve found it in the code, but am unsure what to change. It seems that it will only show the title as of now, or just show a featured image that I have to add. I guess I can make this work.
