Change paged variable in URL (?paged=3)

Hi forums,
is there any plugin or hack that allows me to change the URL of the Paged Navigation?

For e.g. change this:

http://www.mywordpress.com/?paged=3

to that:

http://www.mywordpress.com/3

I just display on post per page and also don’t use permanent links. Actually you can’t click on a post to and go to single.php

Any suggestions?
