Thanks for the reply, but that did not entirely work. Now the font in my widget for paypal has turned black and the footer is also black, so you can no longer see the text. However, the fonts for the other widgets have remained white and nothing I do seems to change either. I tried changing the footer background to white, but that didn’t work. I have tried to change the paypal widget, but that didn’t work either. All I need is for the fonts to be dark enough to read on the whole site. Any more ideas.

different elements have different colors due to different backgrounds so you will have to go through each element and change that element color. The color you changed above is the main color for body text on posts and pages.
Thanks for all the help and so sorry about the late reply. It seems the issue is not that the changes don’t take effect, but rather that the changes are delayed by 24 hrs. I have cleared my browser cache, but that did nothing. I have tried to use some of the caching plugins, but none of those did anything or I am not skilled enough to use them. I am using Godaddy for hosting and wondering if the issue may be with them, but I have no idea how to tell or what to check there. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

the theme itself doesn’t appear to be the problem so it may well be your hosting. Are you still having an issue with this?
