change categories

    Is there a plug in or an easy way to change the actual name “categories” to something else on the blog itself? Ex. when someone clicks on my blog they see “categories” and it lists the various categories, I would like people to see the word “subjects” and then list the various categories or (subjects) as it were.

    No plugin needed. Have a look at the Optional section under Admin/Settings/Permalinks. If you enter subjects as your Category base and then save your changes, you should be set to go.

    Didn’t work. It still says “categories”. Any other ideas?

    It does work. I’ve used it on clients’ sites. Remember to press CTRL and F5 simultaneously when viewing an updated page/site. Or try emptying your browser cache. This should ensure that your web browser fetches a fresh copy of the page rather than serving up an out-dated copy from your own cache.
