cause issues with permalinks

Even though I reainstalled the default settings and unchecked everything in the permalinks section it causes me 404 errors everytime I activate it, this is just happening these last few days. is there any issue with the plugin? I use multisite but I also tried to activate it as single site. when I disable it, my links work. it seems like the issue is mostly with category based links
