Recently, I tried uploading an image and met with this:

It doesn’t look like you can use the file upload feature at this time because the directory you have specified (/export/home1/http/.users/a0/00/2a/fd/dudleyclark.com/www/blog/wp-content) doesn’t appear to be writable by WordPress. Check the permissions on the directory and for typos.

Everything was fine the day before… Not sure what to do next.

    Thanks!

Did you check that the directory has writable access? Chmod 777 should do the trick.

I have no idea what Chmod 777 means. Which directory? Why would it have access one day and not the next?

    Do as follows :

After you logged in to your hosting comtrol panel-File Manager

    Click Directory as follows

    – public_html >> You will see wp_content folder

We have to change Chmod of wp_content folder.

When you click wp_content link on right side it will show you to change permission or chmod some thing like this…

It will show numbers like 755 you have to change it to 777

There will be nine boxes – check all of them…

And here we go every thing will work fine.

I Hope you have got it !

Thank you for asking this question and thank you for answering it! I had the exact same problem. I am so glad you had the answer because if you can believe it, this is the answer I got from my webhost:

    “Hello.

You can’t create this folder because this folder already created and you can
    upload images to it.
Please let me know if you need more help.”

Well I knew the folder was already created, you moron.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
