Hi,
My message is surrounded by a red box apparently indicating actual mail server trouble, where email cannot be sent. However, I am using a Gmail account.
I did a little more digging after reading some other FAQs on your plugin and recalled recently installing the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin which I have not actually implemented yet. Deactivating this plugin fixed the problem. Now my Contact Forms are working correctly.
I am guessing your plugin conflicts with WP-Mail-SMTP?
Ted
CF7 doesn’t conflict with the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin.
The WP-Mail-SMTP plugin makes your WordPress use SMTP instead of the normal phpmail to send emails. If you didn’t configure your SMTP properly it wouldn’t send emails. Deactivating the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin took you back to using the standard phpmail which works for most people with no extra effort.
